For the last 3 years, Samuel has served as the Expedition Leader.Ĭurrently, Samuel serves full time with Temple Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX, as the Worship Leader. Samuel has also served extensively with Leadership Expedition, a young men’s discipleship training camp. This program provides a framework for men to understand and embrace the call of God on their lives. Not long after completing college, Samuel assumed the role of Worship Pastor for his local church and worked to build the worship ministry there as well. By the end of his college career, there were 3 full teams in regular rotation for the weekly chapel services. At his private Christian college in Sterling, Kansas, Samuel helped rebuild the chapel worship experience by recruiting, training, and leading worship teams. Since 2009, Samuel has served in various worship leadership and discipleship roles. After a few trips with other campus worship leaders to New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, and Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, Samuel began to recognize the impact that worship music can have on both believers and non-believers. Since that time, he has worked alongside friends, mentors and pastors to steward the calling and anointing that God has placed on his life. He learned to play guitar from a few teammates, and quickly began leading worship for small campus Bible studies. It was in these formative years that Samuel was being shaped and prepared for a lifetime of serving others.Īfter a short stint playing basketball in a small Kansas college, Samuel discovered a love for worshipping Jesus in music. Growing up as one of four siblings in a ranching family in East Texas, Samuel had the chance to learn the value of hard work and humility, both early and often. He grew up attending a small non-denominational church that functioned in many ways like an extension of his own family.
